Job Description
You are expected to analyse, assist in development of Business Processes, Program Configuration, Maintain & Manage software applications and application development using development tools/programming languages through phases of software development life cycle.

Responsibilities:
Your responsibilities would include, but not limited to;
The scope of work for the position will include University wide i.e. AKU Global ERP operations and expansion, ERP support and implementation within the University and all its affiliates in any country, Clinical Information Systems including Hospital Information Systems (HIS) and Electronic Health Records (EHR) support and implementation across all the hospitals associated with the University and all its affiliates in any country.
Create and maintain software applications and gain knowledge of the existing applications, both the technical and business aspects.
Participate in all phases of application development, i.e. study, analysis, design, development, and implementation.
Develop excellent understanding and application of Data Modelling and Data Analysis Techniques.
Learn Software and database development tools including but not limited to PeopleTools and People Code, VB, VB.Net, ASP.Net, C#, MVC, HTML, React, Angular JS, SQL, Oracle, and SQL Server Stored Procedures.
Should efficiently produce and maintain requirements and application systems documentation.
Participate in quality assurance and testing of products.
Prepare self-development plan in coordination with the immediate supervisor.
Undertake activities for continuous professional development in line with the plan and keep abreast of latest developments in the profession.
Operate within practices and procedures for smooth functioning of all operational services as per quality standards.
Liaison with others / Sections /Departments for delivery of the results.

Requirements:
Ability to understand business process and effectively use data modelling and analysis techniques.
Ability to grasp, analyse and document business requirements with some level of independence.
Should come up with well thought out solutions and prepare modification specifications independently.
Ability to break down concrete issues into parts and synthesizes succinctly along with collecting and analysing information from a variety of appropriate sources.
Ability to identify client need and expectations and respond to requests efficiently and effectively while acts beyond explicit request within established service standards. Able to meet client needs in a respectful, helpful, and responsive manner and seek feedback to develop a clear understanding of client needs and outcomes.
Ability to listen actively and objectively and present appropriate information in a clear and concise manner, both orally and in writing.
Ability to make straight forward decisions based on pre-defined options using clear criteria/procedures.
Ability to recognize and act on present issues as well as offer ideas to address current situations or issues. Able to work independently and complete assignments without constant supervision.
Ability to complete tasks in accordance with plans and sets priorities for tasks in order of importance.
Ability to set goals and works to meet established expectations and adapts working methods to achieve objectives.
Ability to give support to co-workers and works collaboratively rather than competitively as well as share experiences, knowledge, and best practices with team members.
Facilitate process workflow modelling for process improvements / automation and clearly defined end-to-end use cases.
Assist in re-engineer processes and suggest efficient working procedures that can be achieved via application configurations or minimal development efforts in line with the institutions strategic goals and objectives.
Assist in assessment of business process change impact, to develop successful change management strategies.
Assist in sustainment of process change across business units including data monitoring and reporting with the help of frequent engagement with process stakeholders.
