Job Description
The Department of Surgery provides comprehensive and sub-specialty care in the areas of Cardiothoracic Surgery, Dental-Oral, Maxillo-facial Surgery, General Surgery, Breast Surgery, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology, Orthopaedic Surgery, Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, Paediatric Surgery, Plastic Surgery, Urology and Vascular Surgery. The Department has 115 full-time and part-time faculty with a strong commitment towards teaching and research. Formal structured undergraduate teaching, postgraduate residency and fellowship programmes are integrated into the academic functions of the department.
The Aga Khan University invites application for the position of Resident Medical Officer in the Section of Ophthalmology.

You will be responsible to:
perform initial assessment, document and follow up of patients prior to being seen by the Consultant
perform ER calls promptly
assist consultant in the operating room for all minor and major procedures and provide coverage on floors
assist in pre-operation work-up
carry out any other responsibility as assigned.

You should have:
MBBS or equivalent degree approved by the PMDC
one year internship with six months in Medicine and allied and six months in Surgery and allied disciplines
FCPS Part I (preferable)
strong interpersonal and communication skills.
