The Department of Biological and Biomedical Sciences invites applications for the position of Research Associate to work on HEC sponsored research project. This is a contractual position for a period of two years.
You will be responsible for:
providing assistance to the Principal Investigator in planning, managing and conducting research project by determining theoretical aspects of problem and selecting method of approach
Recruitment of study subjects; collecting clinical samples from AKUH and other healthcare facilities
tabulating and correlating data compiled in research and interpreting the results
conducting experiments, devising instrumentation and techniques to record and collect test results
preparing write up of results, manuscripts of paper, presentation and research proposals
providing assistance to students and lab staff in setting up and conducting laboratory sessions.
You should have:
an MSc/MS/MPhil or equivalent degree in Physiology/Biotechnology preferably with enrollment in PhD from an HEC recognized or foreign university/institution with interest in medical research
at least one year of relevant work experience
working knowledge in basic sciences with skills in laboratory techniques
ability to multi task several projects
ability to work in fast paced environment
excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
